Whittow House
Naramata, 2010
This small house was designed to fit a very narrow and steep lot. Cars are left at the road, and the owners climb the hill to the top of the slope, where the views to the lake and mountains are truly magnificent. South facing glass, generous overhangs, cross ventilation and in floor heating keep energy costs to a minimum. The interior spaces are open both to the long views to the west, and into contained garden courtyards to the east.
