Trout Creek, 2020

This modern beach house takes a small lot, and creates maximum useable outdoor space through the creation of a series of courtyards: an entry court, two mid-lot courtyards, two roof courts, and a lakeside terrace. Weathered wood and rusted steel are juxtaposed with soft whitewashed forms to create durability and enclosure. Inside, airy spaces are linked by a suspended wood and steel staircase. Interiors are simple but luxurious, and always directly connected to light, fresh air and outdoor rooms.
