Merritt Theatre

This proposed theatre in Merritt incorporates 3 small movie theatres with a larger multi-purpose live theatre, in the centre of the historic downtown.   Downtown revitalization, cultural integration, and economic development come together in one community project.

The building references the timber and ranching heritage of the region with a crisp weathered timber facade, designed to be locally sourced and manufactured.  Behind this veil is a warm and inviting public space, destined to be the venue for countless performances, recitals and community events.
